Hello! Its Friday- in case you were wondering. I have almost lost track of which day of the week it is. For some the weekend stretches out full of the promise woo time at home with the family, a bit of catching up. Some dog walking maybe or some gardening. For others, the things they love most- team sports, the pub with friends, lunch with grandchildren, have been curtailed very dramatically. The weekend ahead may seem empty and bland- just time to kill- and lots of it.
You probably know someone in that second category. So check in with them- pick up the phone, email, WhatsApp, Facebook- or even a letter if you happen to have a stamp in the house. Ask how they are doing. Listen with your whole heart and pray for them.
“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous” Psalm 112.4
