Following the announcement of lockdown beginning this Thursday, we will not be able to gather for our planned Remembrance Sunday Services.
This is a loss for all of us.
However, there will be a short act of remembrance available online from 10.45 on Sunday as well as our usual Sunday service online. This includes a two minute silence and the playing of the last post and the National Anthem. https://youtu.be/NmJ9xRKjGoI
Do take this opportunity to stop, to remember, to give thanks and to pray.
I would also encourage you to:
Decorate your windows / cars/ gardens with poppies;
Donate to the Royal British legion (you can get poppies and pins etc from the Vicarage porch in Hallow);
Communicate – use Remembrance Sunday as a day to remember all that we have to give thanks for, and make time to phone someone you haven’t been in touch with for a while, someone who might need a bit of encouragement to get through the next few days or weeks. Maybe a friend or a neighbour, maybe someone you’ve been out of touch with for a while.
