Service for Pentecost, 31st May 2020

It’s Sunday again! And it’s Pentecost!!
Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement this week. It has been wonderful to see some real answers to prayer- and real love and neighbourliness. We are now at the end of the Novena of Thy Kingdom Come but let’s keep praying for the gift of the Holy Spirit for ourselves, our neighbours, our community, our nation and our suffering world.

Here is the link for today’s service: Service for Pentecost, 31st May 2020
It is a little longer than usual as we have additional music and prayers which I hope you will find uplifting.

THANK YOU for your continued support of the Food Bank- please keep bringing donations to the Vicarage if you can- every donation makes a difference, and we must try to make sure nobody in our city goes hungry.
PLEASE PRAY particularly for our schools this week. All three schools in our group of parishes will be “re-opening” and it is fair to say they have been given a nearly impossible task! Please pray for them, for children, staff, parents and governors- and for those children who still won’t be able to access school as they normally do, and their families.
If one church service a day is not enough for you- you might want to watch the special service being led by Archbishop Justin Welby and Pope Francis, being broadcast/livestreamed at 9.00am today. you can access it hereĀ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvNuebjkSM4

Finally- please do be in touch if you would like to talk, or if you need help to get through the coming days- financial assistance, practical favours…

May God bless you with joy and hope, imagination and courage, faith and love.
