Support those most vulnerable

So many people- even someone I’ve spoken to today- seem still to be saying “I don’t think I’ll catch it, and if I do, I’ll take my chances”.
Forgetting that they can spread infection to others who may not stand the same chance that they do. Forgetting, perhaps, that the person standing next to them who looks healthy is diabetic or recovering from chemotherapy, or lives with a child who is immune¬†suppressed. Forgetting, perhaps, that if they do “take their chances” and die, they will be leaving a grieving family who may not even be able to attend their funeral – that is the reality for those who are in Spain and Italy.
As inconvenient and frustrating as it is, please let’s protect our vulnerable people. Avoid ALL unnecessary contact.
Jesus says “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25.40)
